dvtapes are still the best. it doesnt zip your footage as much. flash memory is the future and wil pass dv tapes in a little while. Hdd cameras are just a temporary sollution.
its fragile and impractical.

Panasonic camcorders are usually high quality. Durability is good, and battery life is okay. But, to be honest, you can do better for the same price. JVC Everio camcorders are around the same price, are good quality, and have good zooms. HOWEVER, if you really want to zoom in a long way, then Sony Camcorders that are the same price have 60x optical zooms. So those are good as well. Hope that I helped.
