Windows 2000 can't detect "USB Samsung Audio Device" digital signature?

Hi, everyone. I just bought a Samsung SCD363 miniDV camcorder. It came with a USB cable for transfering video to PC. I installed the discs (Driver, DirectX9.0, Video Codec, Quicktime) and ULEAD Video Studio SE.
But, when I try to get the video to go to the PC, the PC first says, new hardware detected, then a little box says installing, then a big box comes up that says "digital signature not detected" and when that box comes up the little icon at the bottom of the screen that lets me know when the PC is hooked up right to something, disappears and if I click "continue installation" the whole thing goes away.
I uninstalled all the disc stuff and reinstalled it 3 times and it is still doing the same thing!
I am so frustrated I could just spit! Please help! Thanks. Ginny

Contact samsung maybe the disc is faulty hence the trouble your getting,try asking the retailer for replacement disc.

I have a varied amount of cameras and accessories to sell and would like to know the best place to sell it apart from ebay in the UK. It is all film camera things and not digital. Also the best place to sell a JVC digital camcorder again apart from ebay.

Jessops buy and sell second hand stuff, but you won't get much. Cash converters is another. Loot magazine, friday ads or even your local paper is an option. If you have an independent camera shop, they will take it off your hands. (If Jessops haven't bought it yet!)

Prosumer Camera or DSLR or Camcorder?

i have a keen interest in photgraphy. I own a point and shoot camera but it has it limitations. I want to take photgraphy to the next level. and im looking for a camera with high zoom capabilties. Will i get good stills with a camcorder since they have high zoom features. or if you suggest a camera it should have high zoom. and i have a 500$ budget. thanks!

I was surprised nobody suggested a Canon S3IS or a Sony DSC H5. Both of these would give you a 12x zoom (approx 35-400mm equivalent in 35mm), allows front attachment of lenses (meaning you can use a 2x or a .45x to increase the tele end or go more wider. You can also select ISO between 100 & 400 and do full manual adjustments in most of the cases, which is a necessity when you go beyond 150mm (35mm equivalnet) zoom. Both have image stabilisation, meaning it can help you get rid of shakes in high zooms. And both costs less than $500. Personally, I would suggest the Canon as their noise reduction technology is known to be a shade better than that of Sony.

You can also try out the Nikon D50 also (would be about $550), but that comes only with a 18-55mm lens (x 1.5 would be the 35 mm equivalent) so your dream of high zoom, with IS, will translate into a burn your wallet and pocket and even the bank lockers.
